Experience customs

In the Zillertal there is still today in the pre-Christmas season the custom of the hostel search, which is colloquially called "Anklöpfeln"!

 

Thus, on Thursdays in the Advent season Klöpfelsinger (children and adults dressed as shepherds) go from house to house to announce songs & poems appropriate to the hostel search.

 

In Mayrhofen, anyone interested can participate in the custom of Anklöpfeln, as the men's choral society and a brass section of the Mayrhofen Federal Music Band perform songs & tunes every year at certain places, which have always included the Edenlehen. And especially this year it was something very special to experience this again!
